Great shot. I think the b/w serves this well and the fallen down building adds to the barren landscape. Nice work.

Love this one. Makes me sad because so many of these old places dot the plains in South Dakota. I am so glad you are recording these soon to be gone old "ghosts".

Hey Pat, I am a tad confused! if the 3800N is a film camera, why do you have the film as lexar 1G and the film type as colour digital? just a question....I think this pictuer is stunning, and the comp is brilliant, however it was done. :)

I appreciate your comment, Thank you.
The Vivitar 3800N is a great camera. simply because it is completely manual. The only thing about it that might interfear with the quality of the image it produces is the galss hanging off of the front. I do not much care for the lens I have on it but it does use a stand PK mount and there are some nice lenses out there that will fit it. Also, it is a tuff little camera. Takes a licking and keeps om ticking...
As for the camera body itself, there is no reason why it should not make good picture.
I like my Canon too beacuase of the bells and whistles that can help out but the 3800N forces me to think and take my time. That is a good thing most of the time....

Hi Pat, this image does look like an IR shot, but that's something I'm guessing at, as I'm a know-no at IR. Very strong composition, with the barren and empty land. Desolated, isolated and a huge, powerful solitude. A pitty it's rather small, but a great shot, and nice postprocessing. I think the B&W works very well there.
Cheers,
Hugo
