This is a nice, clean abstract. Uncluttered. Simple. It's much like any long shadow treatement, such as a 45 degree shot of a post on a tennis court.

Matej, great work. I've finally figured it out as to what this is, but it's so effective as an abstract this way, I dont really want to know what it is. Paul

LMAO, Matej, i am not always that disciplined, i must confess...sometimes those sunsets just grab my hand and force me to turn dials, push shutter buttons and won?t release their hold on me till i open them up on the computer and groan, ?WHAT was I thinkin???...i have to remember what you said, put the lens cap back on and enjoy the moment. :)

Indeed Kat, whenever I came across a sunset or a Famous Historical Landmark, I practised the philosophy "put on the lenscap and enjoy the moment". It was a very nice experience :-)

Absolutely, positively a great, complex, dynamic abstract, certainly one of the best I've seen in a few months. I don't give a stuff about what it is, that's a photograph, and an abstract, what! Do keep the contrast, it look great.

What I like about this is that we dont have to know what it is. Good lines, simple tones and an obvious attention to a neat scene, well composed placing it together to make it effective. Leg work, a good eye and a 50mm, the tool of a good efficient mind at work. Nicely done!

Looks to me as some traffic sign on a wall, beside a closed window. There is the shadow of an electrical wire running across... Whatever ! You have done a clever graphical composition. Keep the contrast.

When you incline your head 90 degrees to the right, the shadow is no longer going up :-)

Thats great. I like this as is. I dont think you should open the dark shadow...
I still dont get it... how the shadow was going up like that when the sun was up in the sky (maybe not directly up, could be 90degree sideways)... Well... mystry & percepetions is all about photography... Great job, Matej.
Elangs.

I shouldn't tell you what it is, breaking the mystery might make the image less attractive. But I can tell you that I was looking up, not down :-)
The shadow is dark because it was a pretty high-contrast situation, with a very bright wall which I've printed down to show all the detail in it, and the extra exposure made the shadow even darker. If printed lighter, there would be wall detail in the shadow. When I print this larger on FB paper I'll try to retain both highlight and shadow detail to see what it looks like, but in the meantime I like this more graphical version.

It is interesting for a few reasons: -lighting which provides strong contrast -rotation which makes it unusual and real abstract -excellent composition
And I agree with Roger - it's nice wheter it's rotated or not (but better like it is now, because you can't figure out what is this at first sight and it adds to it)

Matej, Great abstract and diagonal & very balanced composition. Excellent job. How did you get the shadow as that much darker shade?
But what the heck is this? I tried to see at 90degree to the right... couldnt figure it? :-) are you seeing down? Well... me likey.
Elangs.
