Intriguing . . . Dark and moody . . . almost stark. And yet, this is the California coast . . . filled with life and color in reality. Amazing how much of a mood can be created with color . . . or the lack of it. Half of my Pacific Focus shot was similar to this . . . focused foreground and a blurred Pacific Ocean. And yet our shots, though similar, could be polar opposites . . . Yellow flowers in bloom with green grass . . . versus an image with none of the warm summer-like hope. I'm fascinated with this one Al . . . but mostly with the power of B&W to convey emotive responses.
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

You have a perfect diagonal corner-to-corner, in the white water of the shore line. The foreground foliage stands out crisply from the soft background. If this was shot with the A12 back it would be interesting to see what part of the image was discarded.

The diagonal is very charming, even blurred it's the point of this image in my opinion, it represents the freedom dream, while the little tree in foreground is the hard reality (do not be astonished, I have a lot of fantasy!); excellent composition and B/W tones. Bye Max
