I enjoy your word play on the "nude decending a staircase" painting...... and I have laughed outloud at your titles... but your work leaves me stunned, in speechless awe of your talent. After seeing one creation, I had to look at your entire portfolio. No I can't call it looking, it was actually a study of it.
I am still realing from the emotional impact.
It is not the skill in the execution of your composit images that is the driving force... althought THAT is enough in and of it's self to earn you accolades and applause and adulation.... but it is the creativity, interwoven with imagination and intellect, and sheer talent, that earns you the reference and respect reserved for.... and deserved of... a great master.

Now then, Jim, this is a bit naughty ~ having a woman trample all over a set of guitars! Never mind the fact that she hasn't got any clothes on!!! In fact I'm not sure whether, as a minister, I ought to be commenting on this image at all! (Joke!) The fact is, it is, of course, quite brilliant, but want we all want is a PS tutorial on how you get this wonderful look. Kind regards, Chris.

Now this one I really like! The placement of the elements is terrific. I love the warm colors and the texture adds interest without being too distracting! Very nice. This would look great hanging above a baby grand piano...

Hi Galina: Glad you're spending more time at UF these days. "Blue Cello" comes tomorrow. --Jim
Hello Ursula: The exact formula I'm keeping under my hat for a while -- it took about a month of experimentation to develop it. However, see the threat of my previous image ("Girl with Stars in Her Eyes") for a general description of how these are done.
Mik: I appreciate your comment. I know how hard it is to try to express yourself in idomatic English. I had the good fortune to have had some assignments in Prague for Newsweek in the immediate aftermath of the Velvet Revolution. It is a city of infinite charm.
And thanks to everyone else for your comments. --Jim

Hi, Jim. Your impressionistic collection here just amazing. You are really on the top of excellence. I hope I will not upset you, but my favorite still a poetic 'Blue Cello'.This composition is more eccentric, more active, brighter. The same style, different mood. I like the style you developed. Best wishes, Galina (in UF you spelled my name correctly ;-))

Hello Jim. Nice. I feel a drive to express a fluidity of an amusement. Everywhere full of energy. The verve. Excellent expressionist pop art. In my opinion. I am sorry, my English is not good. I am from Prague. Thank you. Nice title and very good work. Have a 'warm' day.

This is so beautiful! The guitars look very good, I like the guitar at the bottom, that looks almost like a frame. I love reds and oranges, and these are just right. How do you do these pictures? They're quite striking.

FYI --
A quick thank you and word of explanation for everone who commented on "Two Men in Tuxedoes." It seems people are frequently anthropomorphizing animals by attributing them human emotions and even human motives. I thought it would be an interesting theme for a photo illustration.
I'm a frequent guest at the Amateur Comedy Club in NYC (thanks, Shelley H!) where tuxedoes are required at weekend performances. Earlier in the summer I looked around at the guys, myself included, who were all stuffed into ill-fitting tux jackets that looked to have been in closets for decades and thought: "My, god! These guys really do look like penguins." --Jim
