Hi GG,
Yes, it is here. Called winner. It was part of Henry's Moore sculpture contest. The botanical gardens is one of my favorite places to visit, I am luck to live very close to it. I have been a member and supporter of the garden for over 5 years now. I just love it there, it is an amazing place. If you come back to NY, I'll be your tour guide :)

Hi RG, was your win a photo contest and is the picture posted? The Botanical Gardens must be very impressive. When I was there last year I never had a real chance to see much. Had a 4 day 8-5 seminars on publishing and marketing. Then 3 days of Book Expo. Would have liked to have be able to see more. Stayed in the New Yorker and did some serious walking around and through Times Square, and surrounding area.

It is a monolight GG. 400W monolight set to shoot at f8 bare tube (no umbrella or softbox) positioned about 30 degrees from where I stood. I got the light set with the gift certificate I got from my win at the NY Botanical Gardens so I only had to pay very little out of pocket :)
Your idea sounds great as well.

What kind of strobe and set up were you using on this? I am going to try and experiment with some off camera flash and a homemade umbrella for openers in my travels of lighting 101 here at home. Over the hump!
