About We went off track to wander around one morning to come across this lovely pond during an unusual period of calm from all the wind. This lasted only a few hours before coming back with a vengeance not long after.

I guess I have a colorful personality. And I also think that as a viewer we respond to color emotionally and in some cases I find it adds to the image. But then color is a personal thing and it can be off putting as much as a enhancement...each to his own. Roger I enjoy your candor thanks for taking the time.
Cheers

yeah I guess.... I actually have a little quote around that..
"Forget the reality remember the feelin' " so I dunno I was applying that back in the old B&W film days.. when I was doing huge manipulations in the dark room (counting seconds of my life away) and goofing of to a large degree.. yeah its a hard one.. cos for me a photo is a photo and as such should not be altered but artmaking.. that's a different story.. now I interpret your work as of the fine art variety in the tradition of the great North american landscape photographers.. its just your colours seem a little saturated and toasted.. to me anyway

Ahhhh Roger.....I am going to send you a colouring book....lol....Lots of color! Less reality, that i got and it's not always as pleasant. Hey I will be posting some shot from Antarctica soon and i am sure you won't believe the blues...oooh yeah.
Always good to hear from you mate
Cheers!
