Surprising indeed! Good that you had the possibility to photograph this moment:-)
When I was on the Canary Islands, I went to a special place everyday to read and enjoy the sun with my husband. There were huge lizzards there that disappeared when people walked by, but I fed them and after a few days they knew me, came out to me and only fled when other people passed by:) I did get a bit scared one day when about 14-15 of them approached me and they were big like small varans! A fantastic experience though for an animallover like me.
