I´m so glad you think this way because this is also what I think about the photo. I like the different layers and colours in the sky giving a ceertain atmosphere to the image. I miss that when cropping it tighter.
Good hearing different opinions showing that photography doesn´t come with a manual in terms of preferences:-)

I think that cropping the sky out of the pic totally changes the focal point and eliminates the really nice layering of the clouds! Cropped it just looks too compressed to me. I think the pic is just fine as it is! Unfortunately the sky doesn't always accent pic the way you might want it to! Beautiful pic Annamette!

I like the colours to the scene and the mood. I would have liked you closer to the breakers and rocks mainly because there isnt really sufficient interest in the sky. I think a good crop would help.
