About ....this (I think) is the eucalyptus known as Snow Gum, this specimen to be found on top of the escarpment that forms an edge to the New England Tableland near Dorrigo in northern New South Wales.....that is Bellingen you can imagine in the valley below, lost in the mist that sweeps up through the deep valleys, whipping sparsely timbered ridges, emersing the landscape and the visitor (if they're lucky) in a timeless, impermanence, masking the vastness of this ancient place, truly the domain of the wallaby, the wombat, Aboriginal man and and lately, more's the pity, of white man.......it is a privilege to experience such a place, know it you will never.

Well, it's also well done for the sharpness, the depth also suggested by changes in light, and even the 'duotone'/sepia treatment. It's the light that makes this photo stand out. It's very well done.

Absolutely fantastic image in almost every aspect. Fascinating lines, patterns, textures and just the perfect atmosphere to compliment this dynamic subject. Outstanding work.
