About This is one of a pair I took on a recent visit to Hong Kong. Can't make up my mind which I like best, so will upload both. If you have a preference, I'd like to hear it...

Thanks, AJ. I was just in Hong Kong briefly, but almost filled my 2GB card! The lighting was quite unusual, and this is very much as I remember it. You are right about Auto ISO, though. I have limited it to 800 max. as 1600 is quite unusable on the D200. The increase is triggered whenever I try to use a speed slower than 1/100th (hand shake becomes a problem for me at this point). I am experimenting with noise-reduction but haven't found anything good enough for prime time, yet.

Thanks, Rob. It does have a bit of that HDR look to it, doesn't it, but no, this came straight out of the camera. Well, via CS3 beta (it was a RAW file but I left everything at the default settings).

Hi Roger! Good to see you here, and posting from a new location!

I prefer the vertical perspective in this one, resulting largely from the more prominent steps and railings leading down to the street. The splayed verticals may enhance this effect. But I do miss the yellow car at the bottom of the steps in this one.

I like the soft pastel tones of both, although this one seems to be a little less grainy (most evident in the sky on the other one). I notice you used an Auto-ISO setting, so I assume the camera may have pushed this up to quite a high value.

So, this one get my vote...

AJ
