Interesting idea Jinggoy, and I am sure that would work but I really liked the symetry of locating the horizon in the centre. Thanks for having a look, I am glad you enjoyed it.

Hi Chris, unique perspective showing the moonlight w/o the moon. The moon not being there iso ok, but I feel the horizon placed on the upper third may also work (?) Love the deep blue colors and the ripples creating texture in the water.

Thanks Cathy, it is one of my personal favourites too. I love the shades of blue on the water like bands and the way they intersect the light distorting it, I can't even explain but its a beautiful effect. The moon was quite high and overpoweringly bright hence I tried several exposures excluding it and this was the result.

I really haven't been paying attention and missed this classic. I love it!!! So simple. So vibrant. So spiritual. Verrrry nice. A favourite. CC
From a critics point of view I can't fault this at all. I love the texture of the foreground. So where IS the moon? CC

Thanks James, I almost think I should have entered it into "Magic Light" project as it is amazing how the light can create such a sureal scene. I was in awe taking the pictures.

Raffaello, It is odd like this with no moon but I liked the way there is no direct or ambient light from above, it makes for a rather magical effect of light simply dancing on the water stretching off into infinity. It reminded me of a Tetsuro Sawada painting and I can see where he received his inspiration from nature.
