I really like the "out of the ordinary" approach to the GGB, Great new angle and perspective! Also, the fairly high contrast, and the consistency in the warm tones are just excellent - no distractions, keeping the photo and it's composition clean and simple. Very creative photo, and an excellent capture!

I've heard about those online courses - they sound great!
I got a second prize on that site, last month. That's the best I've done there!

Hi Phil!
Now you've got me all excited! Thanks for the nomination! I figured nothing lost with just checking out the class and the instructor, it's actually an online thing - betterphoto.com. I've been thinking about that for the past few months.
You certainly have a talent for composition. I know most of the good photographers are also self taught and learn by just taking photos. I think commenting on images and seeing how others work is basically how you learn. This site is a really good way to learn.

Mate, you're off to photography classes? Well, you'll be one up on me. I've never been to classes, or even joined a camera club! I would like to - and I will, one day!! I have so, so much to learn!

thanks for the kind words. i'm learning and having fun right now at UF and comments such as these from very good photographers makes me feel good (you're definitely one of my role models!). but i hope to be able to improve how I "see" - i have classes starting this week so I hope I can crank my skills a notch! take care!

Great abstract shot of the GGB Jinggoy, love the texture off the water. Wonderful sunset lighting to achieve the strong silhouette and shadow from the bridge. Always great to see local images and how other photographers view their surroundings.
