Roy, this is beautiful. The transition of colours and their reflections in the water are gorgeous. I love how the vertical crop shows us such a wonderful amount of the sky. It is not so easy to capture the Moon wsithin the scen as you have done. Congratulations on EC. This is superb. I gre up on the Ottawa River, so that adds a bit of a special meaning to this for me.

Your work was one of the first I had seen at this site. This image is set well with great colour, very well saturated and the Piece de Resistance is the moon, with the darkened disk still visible. Very well done and congrats for the award!

Some day soon now, I'll get my act organized and get a drum scan made of this slide.
I think my lens is a bit soft at 300, because even on the slide, the edges of the treeline are slightly soft. I'll have to take some sharpness tests sometime with it, as this isn't the first time i've noticed softness when enlarging shots taken with my 300mm lens.

Stunningly beautiful Roy...I've seen scenes such as this before and they are just wonderul and breathtaking moments of life. You did a really wonderful job of capturing this moment that I always absolutely love seeing. I was riding on a ferris wheel one time when this was happening only Venus was shining brightly and I'll never forget the moment. The sky is an awesome and wonderful place to view. Anyway what you saw and got on film is stunningly beautiful! Great Job!

Great liquid tones and textures. When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was pretty but cliche. The fullscreen version has those great flowing tones and that moon! Adds another distinguishing point to the photo. Very nice work.
