About It seems ironic and a sad commentary on modern life, but a structure put in place to save life, has to be protected from vandals who would put life in jeopardy.

Thanks for your comment Tarek. I shoot in RAW (NEF)and process in Photoshop CS in 16 bit as much as possible. My technique is then to duplicate layers and selectivly dodge or burn using masks. Then when I have the image the way I want it, convert to monochrome using channel mixer and season to taste.

Yes I took seveal shots with the light placed off-center or on a third Chris, but with the track lead in and the sky this is the one that works best for me. Regards John

Telling shot and 'about', John!
I'd like to have seen the lighthouse a little off-centre ~ probably to the right a bit, though it's a difficult one as the path could then be said to lead the eye away from the principle subject!!
Geat tones and detail, though ~ very dramatic.
Kind regards, Chris
