This is very well captured with this wall lamp, just enough light to show the face, but not lose the mood. Leaving the empty space to the left helps convey the feeling of emptiness in a motel room. And what a great place to start! This shot has a lot of emotion to it, so it really works. The subject being off center works somehow in this shot, not sure it could work in all case. Great Job!
