The overexposure is not objectionable to me. This image reminds me of an Escher graphic, very well concieved and executed.
best

A really exceptional image that forgives minor faults. One gets dizzy just by looking at it. You may try the burn tool to darken the upper part. Regarding your suggestion of using a tripod in my Candlelight, I checked my files and the photo was taken at 1/125. At such speed a tripod is not necessary. We must remember that I use a cheap, entry-level camera with a not so good auto-focus. In that poor lighting, it is probably the auto-focus that made another mistake.

A really great view of geometry and diffuse light wich means I just like the light overexposure on the top right - only I would reduce it to it's really content by cutting, sharping an strengthening contrasts.

A wonderful view of patterns! Makes me dizzy just looking at this.

The light area looks like it was caused by flair. When shooting try to prevent the direct sunlight falling on your lens. IN PS you could try to select the area and enter a high value of feather (under select) and then levels to darken. But I don't find it objectionable here.

this is an excellent composition and taken at a very good angle...I wonder how this would be in black and white...excellent detail captured...another simple trick for your overexposed area is to simply use youer Quick mask to paint the area of selection and then do a levels adjustmen...often do that when there is just an area I wish to make similar to another...then if you'd a mind to go to the Adjustment, Selective Color and choose your reds and yellows and add just a small amount of black back in...feel free to e-mail me if you like...

Hi Debarshi - This is the Pan Pacific hotel - a difficult shot well composed. Dizzying from the level you were on! Perhaps a bit of sharpening and maybe some selective use of the histogram function would improve the photo but a great shot! Regards!

Well sharping could help you have a different tone towards the top the image might need a better focus can't really tell because of the scan have to see the orginal image. Nice lines and abstract.

Very interesting shot. Very good observation. I like very much the geometric lines as well as the whole. That overexposure is not a big ditraction. Leave it as it is and welcome to the show

I love the composition, I think I would remove the white rail in the bottom left of the photo and sharpen a little overall. Thank you for your comment on my photo and the information supplied, I have renamed it 'Sadhu' Cheers, Ted Clark

Debarshi, this is wondrous in composition and presentation. The only two nits I can find are with regard to lighting and sharpness. Unfortunately, this is just a bit too soft, and you have an area toward the top of the frame that could be dodged & burned a bit, as the darks are too dark and the brights a bit too bright. All this said, brava on achieving a fantasic composition in less than great lighting conditions.

Alexey Sapa   {K:27174} 7/1/2003
Very nice shot! Like it as it is. But if you want...you can copy this image into two layers, then make down layer more contrast and less of brightness, then in upper layer you can exhibit the certain sites of the image by using eraser tool with small opacity and "airbrush soft". (for example so...) Regards, ALexey

well thanks for your comment on my comment:) i made you a quick correction on some level.. but as i said before it isn't necessary.. this is a great architectural shot.. its taken from the right angle for me.. not being able to see the bottom makes it a great shot.. the overexposure is disturbing and maybe the whole lighting could be better but the photo stands out for itself without PS.. this type of usage of technology wouldn't make us better photographers..
