Jaroso is located in central Colorado just above the border of Colorado and New Mexico. At one time it was a thriving farming community that had a general store, fast food counter, post office, gas station, new car dealership, two hotels, church, and several other businesses. This building is what is left of the town. It housed the general store, fast food counter, and post office. The store food counter and gas station closed many years ago. The post office is open 2 hours a day,6 days a week. Most of the buildings have been torn down/fallen down over the years. The only other town building left is the church which is now used as an art gallery. So goes the fate of so many early towns.
