The Castle and the Matterhorn were the two iconic symbols of Disneyland when I was growing up. You can see the Matterhorn from the nearby freeways.

If I had a chance to go today, the photos there would probably be street - it's wonderful to observe people, and this would be a mecca for shots like that.

My first trip to Disneyland was as a child in the early 60's. Our whole immediate family went as a group to Disneyland once a year while we were kids. My wife and I had the annual pass for a few years when our kids were young but now it's pretty much back to once or twice a year. Still enjoy going, but obviously the excitement isn't what it was when I was a kid. I do love taking pictures there though.

My first time seeing Disneyland was in 1958 - later when I married we lived in Florida and often visited Disneyworld. The pixie dust has worn off long ago unfortunately. We had a friend who worked in the main control room - it was located underneath the castle, and was something to see.

Well hopefully you will get to visit Disneyland here in California or Walt Disney World in Florida some day. They do a great job decorating up the place for Christmas. I'll have a couple of more pictures coming your way.
