Just a great shot all around Marcus, reminds me of Yamil's shot. Looks great, beautiful bird and with the reflection and colour of the water, simply outstanding. yes this is actually the same bird in the same place, I did go for the reflection shot as i like his very much, and He was with me when i took this, as is the case much of the time. we dont compete with each other only post our personal styles. take care robbie....

fantastic image, Marcus. The water is so smooth it is mirror like, and the reflection is perfect. great colors and details. I think I like this one a bit more than the other, but I don't know why... both are great.

Both are wonderful. But I will go along with the BIP award and say this one is better :)
I think the colour of the duck shows a bit better with the blue water. I would almost bet there is no differece between the two ducks. It's just that the blue seems to compliment the duck better.
Ps I saw some Harriers today, from a distance. No shots. But I got some fairly close up of a Broad Shouldered Hawk perched in a tree. I may post one later.

Excellent pose and great capture Marcus.
They both are great shots, but this one looks much better, at least in my computer.
The calm blue background makes the colors in the Wood Duck stand out.

Hey marcus... hmm tough choice both great photographs, it would depend if you like a warm or cool background for this really hot or really cool bird LOL! excellent exposure on your duck.
but i think i like the blue water. tried getting up early to hit TI/BB, i'm kinda in the middle, it's 630am and kinda late to leave.....
