Very moving and strong. Before I read the comment I thought this and after even more.
The crop is great, usually such tall crops don't work well, but this is perfect.
Sorry I've been absent. too much work, too much travel!

Hi Mia,
I am enjoying your portfolio very much. This one is a fine specimen. I love the tones and curves. There is something very dynamic as the eye is drawn from leaf to leaf...

Hi Mia,
I?m not sure why but your comment only appeared in my inbox this week!
I appreciate very much that you took the time to look at my image and make such thoughtful comments. I readily admit that I am a newcomer to printing and it is very helpful for me to receive feedback from people like you who have so much more experience. I am still trying to figure out philosophically how much alteration I ought to do to the image. On the one hand I do like the spontaneous feeling that comes from a shot with some irregularities but then I do appreciate that an image is nothing if not the concrete projection of an inner vision that need not be a mere replica of the world as the eye sees it.
I will take your advice and continue to study the works of the great masters. Unfortunately, my work does not permit me to spend nearly as much time as I would like with photography, so it may be that I may never attain perfection!

George, this one is really great! The perspective is lovely and really emphasises the ?peek-a-boo?feling. Love the colours too. A favourite and full marks from me!

Fantastic capture, Teunis! I love the dreamy look in his eye! I can imagine you hiding in the bushed with bits of leaves in your hat for camouflage!

Lovely shot, Hangaan. The reflections are so well captured. It should make us think about how wasteful our society really is..
