Of this series this one is my favourite, lots of interesting things in the shot. I really love the high shooting angle looking down, it has worked so well here. Fantastic sharpness and DOF

Stunning shot here, I love the Scotland for these sort of shots. Very nice composition with plenty of interest in the shot. Very nice post processing not too over done like many HDR shots, I also like the very slight blurring, it creates a nice dreaming fealing that adds to the mood of the shot.

Yes you are not wrong, although at this place it is extremely easy, but very hard to capture like this at 6 frames per second two shots of bird then tail feathers only ;-)

Almost cheating for this shot, not quite the glue trick, this was taken by a branch close to a Tui feeding station at Tiritiri Matangi

Thanks again David, yes I was actually very close to this bird, this is the actual shot with no cropping with a 300mm lens acording to the exif info I am 2.5m away

Thanks Ania, these birds and the Tui are so hard to capture, this is the main reason I posted this one rather than me thinking the shot was great.

Actually I have been very lucky recently to get some great shots of birds. I took some the other day using the flash for fill, these birds are so fast I have almost every shot with the bird lifting a wing ready to fly away.

Hehehe, yes I was lucky here it wasn't moving much but it's wings, this was a sequence of shots in a burst at 6 frames per second, few shots sitting, then this shot, then the next frame he is leaning more forward then the next frame I only have it's tail feathers, it amazes me how fast birds can move. It is also hard to get shots of the Tui without being behind branches, as you move they normal move to the other side of the tree at the same time.
