Great colors. The lines created by the fence are excellent. The thumbnail for this image doesn't do it justice. The colors are a bit subdued with the wide angled view. It's a shame this didn't get more attention. The only negative to your composition is that the fence is competing with my desire to see more detail in the background... namely the flowers. If the focus is the fence then this works as the colors paint a beautiful background... but your title is "wildflowers". After reading the title my eye strains to see the wildflowers... my focus was preset. I guess this is a long winded way to say that titling your image can have an impact as to where your viewers eyes go. Be sure your images strengths and focus matches the title... or vice versa. I'm sure a larger image is more revealing but thats my take on what I see. Lastly the lighting is great thanks to that overcast sky. Nice and even. Beautiful scene.

This has great color. I think cropping some of the foreground would really strengthen this image. Ultimately shifting the frame up a little (assuming no eyesores were there) would great better lines and depth. See the attached as to my cropping recommendation. This would put the fisherman in a sweet spot (rule of thirds). The red hat is a great focal point for my eye. I love the copper tone to the water. Truely beautiful!

Beautiful lighting and color. I think a symmetrical framing with the channel being the dividing line would work well here. The palm trunk on the far left is a bit distracting. That portion of the image seems a bit extraneous. The best touch in this photo are the ripples in the foreground. Beautiful.

The rough edges make for an interesting frame. I'm not fond of vignetting so I would probably recommend cropping the portion of the sky with the unnaturally dark corners. Great contrasting colors. The saturation seems a little high, but I'm fond of that look others may not. The water creates a great line for the eye to follow out to the mountains. Excellent composition. One thing I caught scrolling back and forth over your image is a mark in the sky near the upper left corner. Perhaps something on the scanner when scanning your print.

Virginia, A wonderfully coloured sky, and an excellent scenery for a fabulous photo..... The birds in the canal are a very subtle detail, but I think the composition is slightly off; I'm not trying to be negative, merely constructive..... I would have zoomed out as far as I could've (unless there are really distubing things off picture I'm not aware of) and try to include the left palm; in its present composition, the trunk is rather distracting. Also, I would have chosen the horizon a bit lower, in order to capture as much of the colours in the sky (truely amaising, the gradient from pink to blue is superb!) as I could. And, last, I would not have chosen the centered composition of the canal in the picture. IMHO, it makes the image a bit dull. Hope this is somewhat helpful, but luckily Photography is a subjective matter.....
Cheers,
Hugo

Superb colours, Virginia. I like the composition very much; the fence takes the eye nicely down the hill and towards the blue hills. Excellent! The only thing, that distracts a bit is the power / telephone pole and the straight lines. They break the lovely and beautiful scenery a bit. None the less a very nice image; don't understand why nobody has commented on it yet..... (there's a first for everything, though....
Cheers,
Hugo

Wow.....I hope your new home also has some nice views. This is very nice, only nit is the tree on the left side of the frame..might have cropped this out. Good shadow detail, tonality.
