Nice shot, nice colours too. It does seem a bit blurred, like there was some movement of the camera during the exposure. You may try a more sturdy tripod (I do hope you used one?), and/or hanging something heave from the center column to lower the center of gravity.

Nice soft lighting, you pretty much nailed the DOF as well (though a bit more shallow could have worked better).
And a very nice model indeed, you're lucky to have such willing subjects.

Good picture. Well composed and very well lit. The brush/branches cluttering the foreground form a bit of a distraction though.

Excellent composition. Love the reflections too, love I were back there in fact
Where did you shoot this? I don't remember the spot.
If it didn't upload as a panorama, you might have had it just too narrow.

Nice view. You should really have used a polariser to compensate for the harsh light at altitude, and taken more care to keep the horizon level.

Mind that mine is also taken on very high contrast film, not a low contrast DSLR sensor.

The pixelation is due to the use of 400 speed film. The softness is my poor eyes not seeing all that well in the dark. AF started hunting so I had to focus manually, guess I got it just a bit wrong.

Very strong shot, great expression on the model's face. Could have been taken a third stop under I think to bring out some skin texture in the highlights, but apart from that I'd not change the exposure.
And give it a name, a shot like this deserves one.

Beautiful vista. Shame I had no time to visit that part of the state in 2004, reason to try and get back there some day.
I do notice a slight blurriness in the background, almost like DOF is too shallow or there's some light haze.
I'd love to see a wider version of this, showing more of the surrounding area rather than having those two trees tightly frame the scene (which is well seen btw).

Bit of a shame about the telephone poles, but you can't have everything and this is not photo.net where they recommend people remove them before taking the shot

Nice picture. Would be so much better though if you cropped away the dead grass at the bottom and maybe part of the white sky on the top, leaving an (almost) square image.
Fillflash might have worked to bring out some detail in the backlit foliage as well, making it look more harmonious with the main image.
P.S. how did you put Kodak Gold film into a digital camera?

nice tranquil scene. Maybe a bit greyish but such is natural light.
You might want to experiment with depth of field here, the background is just out of focus, having it either completely defocussed or completely sharp would have been better.

no next time yet, at least nothing I consider worthy of uploading I've some ideas but haven't gotten around to implementing them. Maybe now that I've a 20mm I'll make some more.
I did use software to assist in the stitching, unlike early attempts in the 1980s where I made the panorama by glueing prints together.

Well done composition, but the light looks a bit strange. It might be the toning but the overall look of the image is far more threatening than the actual light reaching the scene seems to suggest.
Showing it in either true B&W or in a lighter toned sepia would ballance the impression with the true light better.

Much the same critique as for your other image, really get yourself a GND filter for scenes like this (I know I should get one myself, or rather get a better one than I have at the moment which is cheap plastic).
Composition here is not as strong as on your Fogo1, mostly probably because of the light imballance between the left and right sides of the frame.

Nicely done, very subtle lighting. The foreground does look somewhat too dark, a graduated neutral density filter (1 stop, maybe 2 but that would probably be overdoing it) on the sky to give a more even exposure would have made a big difference here. It would likely also have prevented the blown out portion of the sky on the right.

Looks similar to the abandoned farmhouses and barns at Mormon Row in Grand Teton national park. These were built during the early 1800s, late 1700s and later abandoned when the land was found to be poor for farming (which helped save it for preservation of course).
Interesting shot, not quite how I would have (given the option, I don't know this location) composed it though. I'd have preferred the mountain in the background to be off to the right preferably, yielding a less even distribution of mountains and sky along the skyline. As it is the almost even ballance of sky on left and right is somewhat disturbing, detracting from an otherwise very good scenic.

You might have used a polariser to soften the harsh reflections off the water a bit (don't get rid of them completely though).

Good capture, very rich fall colours.
I would have liked to see some sky or at least treetops at the top of the frame.
Still bashing my head for not taking a tripod on last year's trip because I'd miscalculated the weight of my luggage and removed it thinking I was over the limit set by my airline.

Great vista, but not the best on earth (that must be the Tetons as seen from the shores of Jackson Lake or possibly Mormon row) Sadly the one time I was in Yosemite the family didn't give me the time I'd have wanted (several days instead of a few hours) to explore the park and photograph the scenery. I've since trained them otherwise
Looks like you lost quite a bit of details in the shadow and highlight areas when reducing it to black and white. Could be your process, could be your camera (y'all know I'm partial to more traditional ways of capturing the world...).
And indeed, as already said, you really need maximum attainable DOF for a scene like this, and as you're high in the mountains a polariser and/or a strong skylight (1B at least, 1C or 1D preferred if you don't use a polariser).

I hold to strict non-interference in nature, so I don't modify scenes when I see them except removing non-natural items (litter...). That includes not removing as much as a blade of grass, nor using flash on animals to get a "nice" reflection in the eye.

Nice perspective. Must have some shots of it somewhere, was there about a year ago myself.
Bit of a shame you have some falloff in the corners (especially upper right, looks like you cloned it away in the upper left?). Could be your hood is a bit too long to use when you're at short focal lengths (don't have that lens, so can't experiment).

I might have chosen a lighter colour head dress for the portrait to make the entire head visible against the water, but that's nitpicking.

Ah, the old smoker. I miss those birds, lucky the Germans and Turks still have them to show at airshows across Europe.
Image seems slightly underexposed and the horizon a tad off the horizontal.
Is that another F-4 I spot behind it or an F-105? Hard to tell from only a partial shadow and nosewheel
