thanks H.A.

happy to see rain like that. Living in Cali it isn't quite the same as the East coast showers.

Oops Hiya David,

I do have PS and occassionally have used the sharper function but not all the time. I haven't found it to work that well. When my pics are blurry they are usually much too blurry for that function. . I guess though I might try it with these. Thanks for your note and thoughts.

I do have a tripod and remote but I am visting my Mom in NC and didn't bring my tripod. I wished I had it during this photos and few others that I've taken while I have been here.

live and learn.

Thanks for noticing.

hiya..
it was a trick to get it. They all would, on reflex, open there mouths when I shot the photo with my flash... but it was an instant after the flash went off.. then I tried to double shot it and the flash didn't always shoot twice... so I didn't know what I was getting and LUCKILY was the flash caught them right on target... 66 shots and these were the best of the group.

i love the colors and the textures of the walls vs the texture of the wood in the window.
The rim of the windows are grainy and the texture of the walls appear soft, fluid almost...

very beautiful!

Oh I imagine it was....

no big road running past the property... trees and fields.... I wished I'd been able to go in and look further but it did say no trespassing and my Mom was hanging outside...

just makes you wonder the lives of the people that were there..

Thank you Greg

I am still the amateur and learning. I tried various settings to get the right lighting and I am still not sure quite what I did to get it right... ahhh... gotta practice, practice, practice.

Hello Terry,

I went in barely and shot a pic or two as my Mom was waiting in the car for me. Very cool I had to come back twice to this house.

thanks for your note.

Thank you Paul,

I found this zhot to be my second best. I love the lighting in the quarters as my favorite but I like the feel and the angle of the shot vs head on as if we are peeking into the picture not looking at it.

Thanks for your note.

Hello Paolo,

Thanks for your thoughts and appreciation. I will try b and w and sepia as well just to see. Funny how our mind captures B and W as the past but truth is we do and they did live in color.

Hello Dale Ann,
Thanks for your note. As I walked the grounds I hoped the people who lived here did find some joy in their environment. I asked my Mom if she felt they could have been happy here. I then thought maybe, although not idea conditions by any means, maybe it was a safe haven in a time that should not have been. It makes you appreciate your freedom/your rights as a person.

wow....

I am looking through your portfolio and I can't put my finger on it but you have the most unique perspective and view. You follow your own rules and it captures your attention. You dont just have a main subject in the foreground... you manage to keep the viewer looking all throughout the image...?? make sense... wonderful!!!
