I really like the concept. I think the planet at the end impedes on the infinite distance part though, if you want to communicate infinity you shouldn't put something in the way to block the flow. I think the photo would be improved if you took out the planet, because for me that counters what you said you were going for. Other then that great job! The arches are beautiful.
