Beautiful and apetizing, too! Your composition and use of sidelighting really shows off the beauty of this sunflower.

A beautiful abstract! ... and I agree with your advice to husbands/boyfriends. I discovered this last year - see my "While Sandy Shops, I Snap" portfolio at http://www.usefilm.com/browse.php?mode=portfolio&portfolio_ id=6022

Men!... Petal knows what she's talking about - so listen!

I love this composition of yours, Petal. I've never seen a door-pull/letter slot like this one. It has a lot of character.

I think it would be fun to see a "Dutch primer," from you, consisting of photos of various words you find in your photo-travels.

Your language is so interesting to me because I understand a little German and Yiddish. When I hear Dutch, I usually can't make out any words, because I don't know the rules of pronounciation, but when I see it written, it looks much more familiar to me!

Best regards,
SteveR

Gayle,

Beautiful combination of shapes and colors - from the subtle blue-grays of the bowl at left to the hot orange-red of the pot at right.

Beautiful image! I especially like the way the curve of the grill on the right is repeated by the shape of the headlamp. This photo has a wonderful flow, not to mention all that great red.

Very well seen and isolated - beautiful contrast between the bold yellow and more muted tones. The diagonal lines unify the composition.

Hi Jim,

Did you get the advanced model that comes with black electrical tape to seal the light leaks? :-)

But seriously, the thumbnail attracted me, and I wasn't disappointed at the full image. Very nice composition, and beautiful interplay of curves and straight lines, light and shadow.

Best regards,
SteveR

Hello Kamran,

Wonderful splashes of bold red against the neutral gray and brown. I really like the diagonal lines of the table and the way they complement the triangular shape at right.

It's great, Dan. You carried your ability to elevate the everyday and mundane to the level of art right into your workplace.

This could be in National Geographic.

Hi Gayle,

An interesting bit of street art that you turned into a great image by seeing what it could be in your mind and isolating it in the viewfinder of your Nikon.

Wonderful!

She has a lovely face that you have captured so well. Also, I like the out-of-focus shape at the right edge of the image - it looks like a profile of a face!
