I agree Pat. I intentionally cut off his legs because he was wearing jesses (the leather straps that are used to restrain birds), and I wanted to present a natural-looking bird. When I framed the shot, I "zoomed" to get the space right on the sides, and the head room just fell out.

Thanks Dave. The eagle wasn't technically captive because it wasn't restrained in any way. But, it is kept by a falconer, and when it was kept by a prior falconer, it got mercury poisoning and can now only fly for short distances (like 100 meters).

Thanks Jim. There's no color cast, although the white point may be on the bluish side for some tastes. The white probably appears grayish because most of the white feathers are around RGB=215, but there are about 200 pixels with RGB=255 (and a contiunous distribution between 215 and 255), so I really don't want to clip any more pixels to brighten up the feathers. Any other suggestions?
