Hi Sandra,

This was actually shot with natural light coming through a window filtered by sheer churtains. Peppers are just surprisingly shiney I guess :-)

Great shot, you really made the most out of your subject, which is saying a lot in this case since your subject is what I consider to be the most hideous building ever constructed :-)

The top word is Hatch, it is an old company here in Nahville, TN that produces posters for concerts and other events using an old printing method, they are more than simple advertising though, they are an old and almost forgotten art form, and Hatch Show Prints is the best when it comes to this sort of thing.

Also for Jay, I noticed several of your shots were taken in Nashville and I recently returned to Nashville from Seattle, if you are ever looking for a model with a less than perfect body and several tattoos and piercings just let me know, it would be an honor to work with you.

Just a little over a month and I will be returning to Nashville after a year in Seattle, your image reminds me that I need to check out the Shelby Street Bridge when I return. Thanks for the great photo and the reminder!

Thanks for the comment Gerhard. I understand what you are saying about using a bit more light in the foreground, and I had actually tried that. I found that just using strong lighting from above made the composition much stronger and actually pulled your eye into the flower more. I tend to focus on composition to the point of neglecting everything else. To me a dark photo with no detail in the shadows is much better than a boring perfectly lit image :-)
