Gorgeous colour Micky and I love the composition. The wee bit of green just makes it. Have to love that macro.
I should look in your neighbourhood sometime.

Asher, I am not sure. In the university area anything goes. There is an older local radio announcer with this name, but whether this is related to him or not who knows.... its a mystery!

Teresa, I feel you were caught in your enjoyment of this moment and took the shot without really considering whether it would make a great photo in its own right.

A sunset by itself doth not a photo make, you need to add your own interpretation, your own personal input that no one else standing watching could have also taken. Maybe if you had added some foreground silhouette, perhaps even part of a boat? A breaking wave? A bird?

I like the apparent absolute simplicity which gets more complex the longer you look at it.

Lavendu, yes we are lucky to live in New Zealand, but its still very possible to make mediocre pictures here, as an evening at any photo club would show you. It is the eye of photographer that creates the image, not the landscape he is photographing.

Love this image John, I keep coming back to it. It has that sense of the surreal that makes it intriguing and the colours are incredible. Added to my favourites.

Well done Micky, you enhanced the dramatic quality of what we saw so beautifully. Very nice.

Lovely contradiction. How many times did you walk past before you captured it! I agree about the saturation.. perhaps a slight nudge? Keen observation though.

Thank you for your welcome to usefilm and your nice comments on my "Way Beyond" image.

This is gorgeous! Wonderful rich colour. limited colour palette and beautiful line, that keeps my attention looking at all the different sections of the image.
I have added to my favourites.

Thank you for very much for your comment on my Haiku pcture, the simplicity was the object.

Almost looks like a dancer swirling her skirts. Lovely colour and textures, Micky, I am glad you saw it before you ate it.

I love the colour in this that makes you look straight at the boat. If I were to have a wish, it would be that the boat was places about half its length further to the left, as I think it would leave it further to go than it has already travelled.
Still a really enjoyable picture.

WElcome to Usefilm Neal, I do like the panorama image and the strong colour contrast in this. The red jacket is inspired.

There was no post processing other than the usual check on levels and a slight sharpen. No filters, no adjustment of light and dark, this was truly the way it was. like an eclipse of the sun. The red colour in the clouds was just as you see it.

I thank all of you for your kind comments.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment Alexis. I did do it at one stage minus the planet but it looked incomplete. You may judge for yourself here.
