I've been away too and yes, not much has changed, home page unchanged & took several minutes for your image to appear. A good image too, like a lone human peering into the void. And thanks very much for the link to the music. That band Madredeus are really good, I'm downloading some now for the MP3 player.

I spent 3 months in India in 1984/5, Avi. Visited Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur, Pushkar, Patna, Benares. But I wasn't into photography in those days, I only had a half-frame Olympus Pen and my images weren't the best. I'd love to get back, unfortunately I'm 'between positions' at the moment due to the recession so it doesn't look like it'll happen in the near future - anyway, I thought you were NY based?

Yes, really a very powerful shot (even for someone who has no faith). I think black and white would make the image even more powerful, so I've adjusted levels and converted to BW, sharpened a little and added a little yellow filtering, hope you don't mind.

Definitely a good use of the foreground, and the clouds help out too. I think I'd have gone for black and white with the textures of the grass and the contrast in the sky, but this works well.
