Really exceptional work drawn from a nice portfolio. It reminds me of the work of Cartier-Bresson, a csual moment with seeming cosmic proportions. I'm also reminded of the very best of the humanist landscapes in National Geographic.

I love the way the trees vertically hold the image togeter giving it a strong graphic structure. One improvement you might consider would be to somewhat lighten up that dark patch in the center foreground. But this is a minor point in an other wise wonderful image.

On a lighter note, here in NYC, going to work one morning on the subway, I saw a man in a shirt that said, "if there's not soccer in heaven, I'm not going." If I see him again, I'll tell him not to worry.

Thanks for seeing this, sharing this.

The image transcends the subject matter. I've done similar work at Coney Island. But, my images are about the place. This peaceful moment is everywhere. I don't know if it's seeing or skill but, I very much like the lighting that keeps the figure from blending into the (back) ground.

I'm drawn to silhouetted patterns and reflections on water. Bicycles also remind me of individual, mobile freedom. I like this image. But, I'm wondering if it's not a little to busy and dark. Stepping (or Zooming) back a bit would give the bicycle room to complete its form, maybe leaving the wheels just touching the bottom of the frame. I also wonder if a little fill flash would help give each patterned element chance to be co independent.

Yes, magnicicent color! The composition has energy as well. The strong diagonal of the foilage plays against the more subtle opposing lines of the petals.

I like this as its so strongly graphic. The regular repeated diagonal striping give life with pattern and bright tones. Thye play well against the insistently centered diagonal of the crack.

But, for me, the image goes beyond being only patterned graphic. The uncertainty in the upper left anc center have an interestingly menacing presence.
