This is a nice floral photo. I actually joined Usefilm.com just now because I was searching for various people who share our surname (Pettigrew), and I found your page here. I take a lot of flower & garden photos myself, so I was surprised to see that at least some of your photos were similar to mine. This has a very nostalgic feel to it; I like thetones and the timelessness of it.
It's very well composed and quite a pretty street with very interesting architecture. Great historic record of that street.

There is interesting mimicing of pattern and colour in the butterfly body and the flowers it is perched on. I like the composition as the subjects are nicely aligned on a diagonal with the flowers as a lead-in.

hmm...i believe their life would be simpler if they didn't seek anything...to simply BE is magic and can be fulfilling just by itself... ;-)
anyway, i like this photo and i like your words about it. regarding your other question on my photo, the answer is that i deliberately shot half the face because i felt it would have a stronger effect than the regular full-face approach.
