Hi Gregory,
I am always shooting, just not as many interesting things here in TX like there was in San Diego.
I did just photograph my youngest daughter's wedding last weekend. I'll post a couple if I ever finish doing all the editing. Simple back porch wedding and just immediate family. Group pictures by a lake in our community.
My advice to photographers.......'don't photograph your own daughter's wedding, just enjoy it' LOL
Even then however, I would have had a camera glued to my face!
Nice 'talking' to you, it's been awhile huh?

Lori, this is a perfect floral... the lighting is so soft, perfect for this as it shows all the fine details in the petals and brings out the delicate colors...and the composition is fantastic! Thanks for the kind complements on so many of my images, I really appreciate every word and you taking the time to visit. Now, please go out and get some pictures!! You and me both need to get inspired and get busy! I don't know what part of Texas you are in, I have lived there too... the Blue Bonnets are the best photography subjects in my opinion, however if you can learn to shoot lightening, you have more than ample opportunities there with all the crazy Texas weather... head out to some of the botanical gardens, lots of floral opportunites there as things grow well in that climate and of course you have your 4-legged baby! Well... good luck til next time... :-)

Lori, this is such an excellent portrait of your lovely dog. I can tell you went to a great deal of effort to get this "perfect" show. Perhaps the lighting isn't pro as you said, but it's perfect in every other sense and it has that fantastic cuteness factor. You are a very creative person... this photo inspires me, I need to do something creative with my dogs now :-) Give your pooch a kiss from me and my pups. Still taking photos, but not a lot of variety here as in San Diego...just don't seem to have all the opportunities....lots of old western buildings, but those get tiresome after a while. No nice ocean, mountains, etc.
But I count our blessings!

Yes, this is near Austin, TX. Lots of different weather here, more than in San Diego, CA. Love the changing skies, and electrical storms. Don't like the extreme heat of the summer one bit. And it can get pretty cold in winter, but that doesn't last long.
Nice seeing you still taking lovely photos.
