The photo as good proportions always when you put the subject in the left side means distress, well done, please see my page:http://www.flickr.com/photos/ghgguinand/213352813/in/s et-72157594230498411/
if you always divide mentaly yours photos with this grid always the photo become near a perfect photo, use the golden sections and the 1/3 proportions

I really wasn't sure about the border at the time, and now I agree that it doesn't do much. I was trying to frame the picture better after having to crop it hard because of a post

Perfectly silhouetted and lovely skyscape. I like the idea that the sun is behind them and think it's actually good they face the camera. I think most would have posed them looking into the sunset . . . but feel this image works better as is. Very nicely done.

Great capture Charles . . . action is well represented. A word of caution, however. In my opinion, the framing is a distraction from otherwise good work. A small, perhaps 1 or 2 mm dark border forces attention into the image . . . not giving the viewer a distraction. Just a thought.

Hi Charles
Good capture with eyecontact with subject. I think i could have been much more impressive if subject could have been in forground (zoom) and other soldiers in the background out of focus. I know moment dosen't wait, hence a good pic.
