This is your view out your window?
That's so lovely!
We need to move! haha!

Great photo...I like how you have used the trees to frame the shot.

lol!
She always looks very curious...and I blame that on the little "goatie" of hers.

You should!
I love shooting stuff at night with super high-speed film and long exposures.
Sometime I put my camera on Aperture priority and snap! I love how the shots turn out.

Thanks!
I thought so too...and those tress really made it for me! They were the cutest couple!

Thank you!
It was a situation where she wanted me not too show much of her...so that's why I shot her in silhouette.

Thanks Etienne!
They did! haha! I think the exposure was 3-4 sec. long.
It was pretty pitch black out there. The only source of light was the string of lights around the balcony and the lights from inside.
I think it was cool how the very dark sky turned out to look blue.
It was a fun photo to take.

I know!
I did that once...and only once! I totally rather pay the extra 4-5 bucks and get the better quality.
When I get home tonight, I will try to see if I can't brighten it.

That's a great moment! I love how she's having such a wonderful time.
I was thinking...the photo seems a bit dark to me. I'm not sure if it's a stylistic decision or not. I was wondering how it would look if you brighten it up a hint and increased the contrast a bit too.
But that's just me...I just love everything in super high contrast.

Such a cutie!
I love the sweet smile on his face.
I was going to mention that the only thing that bothered me was the branch sticking out of his head...then I saw what Kathy had done with the cropping.
I think that pretty much sums up any advice I would have too.

Very nice composition.
I love how you're using the bench as a lead. The depth of field is really good and the exposure is perfect.

Are you printing yet?

This is sooo cool!
I have been doing a lot of these lately myself so I know how fun they can be.
I love how you're able to tell a story and you've done that real well here.
Great job!

Hi Paul,
I see what you're talking about. I am still trying to figure out the filters available in photoshop. She had some wrinkles that I was trying to soften up with a slight blur filter.
Do you have a trick that might work better?
It would be great if I could get a better filter effect.

Thanks,
Sherry

Thanks everyone.
I'm having a lot of fun. I do need to slow down a bit otherwise all my stuff will be in form of collages!
And yes Susie, that is a fish eye adaptor. It's so great to play with...you just put it on your lens and there you go!

This is a wonderful image Susie.
I love the moment you have captured and really like the presentaion.
Did you do that in photoshop?
Is that a mask of some kind that you have put around the little girl?
Love the shoes! : )

Yep!
That's Sean and his friend James. And yeah...it is Lake Travis... One of Sean's fav. spots.
I'm sure if he was taking some people out to the lake, that would have been the spot.
It's really lovely.
I went up to the car to get the camera and on hike back, they were just swimming and talking. I thought it was such a great moment.

Thanks guys!
Very nice meeting you both.
Yes, Sheila has created a monster indeed. LOL! This is one of the most addicting sites I have ever come across. It's wonderful that it really makes you want to go out there and take neat and interesting photos, just so you can share them with your friends at UF.
I'll have to check out your photos.

Cheers,

Thanks Margaret.
I got to hold the hammer-head after taking the shot. They let it go back to the water after a few minutes. They have the most interesting skin. It's pretty sharp when you rub in one direction and super soft the other.

I like the clouds alot. There was some bad weather coming in, just as we were leaving the beach. I love how the clouds are so large and overwhelming.

Thanks!
It was natural light at sunset. I used fil-flash with a soft box on my flash.
It's also a mounted flash not the flash on my camera...so it hits from above rather than head-on.
I love my flash...it's SB-28. It's totally fool proof!

I love the perspective.
Well done...
I like the tone as well. Nice job placing the focus.

I love your images. They have such beauty in them.
I like this one a lot. It's so cool that you were able to capture the movement and yet have the very sharp detail on the wall.
I really like your treatment of the image as well...great tones.
amazing job!
