hello, baha! i'm a bit late for christmas but i wish you a happy new year! :) - i like veeery much your last pictures... they put you farther away from the boundaries of photograpy and deeply into the realm of absolute figurative art...
i'm a bit "dry" at the moment, but i hope i'll be back soon with some new photo!

i agree with your view, and i think you used the right words... i think that cold and bleak sepia tones give a strong "hopeless" feeling... that's why i love and often use them!
kiitos!

eheheh, very nice portrait of a very cute dog... i'm more a cat lover, but i really love the way dogs stay with their mouths on the floor and their ears lowered...

you built up a striking light setting, but in my opinion the street itself lacks character, maybe... it could be almost everywhere (well, i'm italian... perhaps outside italy it looks very exotic!). excellent processing anyway.

excellent group portrait, i love the tones but the white void on the upper right corner disturbs me a bit...

i love the tone on this one... it creates some sort of nightmarish atmosphere, even though the image is very peaceful in itself...

:) of course i can! i can see faces almost everywhere, and it's a bit scary sometimes... :) this often is due to subjective imagination, but in your photo the face with moustaches and long hair is clearly visible... the mud guy looks a bit like vlad tepes (count dracula!) don't you think? :( scary...
and now a question... can you see THE OTHER FACE??? i'll help you... it's something like a one-eyed, bearded demon... polyphemus, maybe? ;)
