Hi Mike, Thanks for visiting and leaving your comment. As per the info about the pic, This is a pic of a historic fort in the Shigar valley, Baltistan, Pakistan. The fort has now been convereted into a luxury hotel. Most of the people visiting the area are here to go to the 2nd, highest mountain in the world K2. Also the 9th highest nanga parbat is nearby. Some additional information on the fort is available here http://www.akdn.org/publications/shigar_fort_residence.pdf As for the technical details on the pic, this is an HDR image from 3 images.

Thanks AJ for your critique. Now that you've mentioned it, there does to be some tilt, mostly due to the use of wide angle lens.

Have a lot of stuff still in raw that needs to be processed, but havent been able to find the time. Will defanitely try to post more work. How are things on your end.

I also found it to be quite strange, i mean one doesnt expect to see sand dunes at 2500m above sea level. Specially when a stream is flowing and lush grass and tress grow next to it. See another pic for better perspective.

Thanks John for your kind comment. I myself went to the baltistan/gilgit region for the first time, but I must say it was the best place I have ever visited in my life, from the beautiful valley of hunza, to the worlds hightest mountains like K2 and Nanga Parbat, I would really encourage to go there. Let me know if you need help in planning :)

Salam Latif, long time no see/chat. Another great shot, you chose a perfect time to shoot this. Am wondering if it would have looked better if you were to add more floor and crop out a bit of the sky. By the way what software you use to stitch and handle exposure differences in frames?
If you are interested, you can also have a look at my first officially posted panorama :-) http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1187740
