Disappeared again, guess it was because of the server upgrade?

Hi Roger,
They only sacrifice llamas now, but I think your idea to revive old traditions is excellent!

Fast-forward to June 21, Inti Raymi:

"Stop kicking and screaming, Roger, and keep your hands off the ceremonial virgins! It won't hurt. Well, just a little bit, but it will be over soon.

Remember, if we don't kill you, read the future from your guts, and burn what's left of you in the sacred fire, Inti won't give us light and we can kiss our coca crop goodbye."

I'll go drink some chicha now : )

Good that I didn't buy a ticket to VA yet.

Hey, another usefilmer with a coolpix 2100! I think the camera is OK but the light is not. No camera in the world can fix that.

The cat looks pretty scared and the coolpix captured it pretty well.

Do you have another shot with a good view of the water gun or was your camera the next victim?

That red and blue look like a Tex Avery cartoon. Good job on the colors! And a great statement to those who believe b/w is sacred.
The window on the right side is missing something, though.

Nice catch! Of course you climbed in to get the ball. And you'll post the pics of that adventure. Usefilmer trapped by barbed wire - that should definitely get you an award!

I agree with Serge about the contrast. But that bird on the right and its shadow on the grass are great.

Nice pic. Not the over-saturated blue that you see on all the other beach-sky-ocean postcards, and that lonely chair perfectly fits into the scene.

Two ways to improve the pic. The first requires another trip to Kuredo to add something (I'm sure you'd love to), the second is a matter of not adding something.

The bend in the beach and the tree on the left are cropped too tight. Moving the camera a little to the left would have made the pic better, as you wouldn't lose anything by leaving out the far right part of the shot.

And the black frame is more suitable for a funeral pic than for a beach in paradise.

Oops. Make that 'granite,' not 'marble.'

Although that white square in between the coffee machine and the knives could be anything.

There's way to much light coming in through the windows for a full second exposure. The marle top under the window is washed out by all that light. Worse, that ugly reflection in the floor draws the eye straight to the equipment-filled wall on the right, which is the weakest part of the shot. I'd take a few steps to the left, move the chairs a bit to the right, and shoot this pic in the evening or find another way to get rid of that overdose of daylight.

The way the vertical lines on the right wall are curved can be fixed by rotating the entire frame a little to the left.

Or simply don't change anything. The owner of this kitchen has more money than taste and this picture is a good way to punish him for that.
