No, but I did.. HAHA... he wanted me to do it, and that's why I did otherwise they'd still be in tact ;)

yup... she's a keeper. I like every single shot of her. She's good in front of the camera and you capture her perfectly. Good stuff!

Hey, Mr! I had a quick minute to peruse your stuff today and do see that you have been shooting like crazy. You are totally evolving like crazy! If ever we are in the same vicinity it is ON...seriously! I'd be honoured!

On another note... in all these years I've been taking photos and whatnot my husband FINALLY let me take his portrait *gasp* Certainly not my BEST work, but I'm still quite proud. I will post them soon for critique... I'm still hoping to do better with him though.

Sadly, it seems since I got my DSLR creativity/motivation/time has been VERY low. Life has just been absolute chaos and it SUCKS! I know when the time is right it will all start flowing again.

Paul, Paul, Paul.... on one hand when I think about it I'm like.... NO WAY! I would feel so uncomfortable in front of SOMONE ELSE'S camera... but then I think of your skills, then combined with mine and I'm like WHOA! This could be FLIPPING FANTASTIC. Seriously. But I think I might need a drink first! lol One of the main reasons I went behind the camera rather than in front is because I was never comfortable with it.

But yeah... if it weren't for the distance, I would be down! Maybe one day?

Paul I've been going through some of your work and you just seem to be getting better. I mean, you've always had the technical stuff down but your style is really starting to develope with your model work! I bet your portfolio is look FABULOUS!

I agree with you... and I'm not saying I FEEL old. NO WAY! I just think it's something we all think about whether we admit it or not... the photo was taken to go along with a blog I wanted to put up

awww, man! I was just thinking this 4th how I missed the freworks show in St. Louis at the arch on the river (I used to live there) then I go and see this and it brings back all the memories and makes me want to go back again. I have yet to see a fireworks show that lives up to this one!

Excellent portrait. Simple, yet dramatic. Great detail in the eyes and I love the freckles. The B&W tones are very rich too. Well done :)

Thank you, my friend! What type of resolution do you need? Will web size (low resolution) be OK, or do you need a larger size?

Awwww... well... shucks! You know I'd love to do it if I were ever in your area or vice versa. I'm always afraid that when I do work for someone else they wont like it though :( It's so much easier when you are doing it for yourself!

Ha! LOL Well... I actually used a black lip pencil and then VERY carefully applied clear gloss over it. I got the "perfect" lines with the pencil and just kinda gobbed on the clear without disturbing the pencil on the lips. I had to be very careful once it all was applied.

Thank you, Gayle :)

Ummm... patience and snapping MANY photos??? LOL USUALLY I will just do it handheld. I actually just bought a cheapie remote to hold me over until I can afford a good one, but it is only like a foot long, so not much I can do with it! LOL On these I did some handheld and some on the tripod with the self timer.
