Super timing on this one, and very interesting street scape story. Colours look nice, sure looks like you are having fund with the new Pentax. The Sigma looks very good too, nice colours and sharpness very nice.

Nice streetscape Dave, great exposure pretty good sharpness considering the shutter speed. The noise control at 1600 is very good too, quite impressive.

Not trying to be critical, but this shot does deserve a bit more attention I think. The mother's front arm is cut off and the baby's foot is hidden/cut off by the sheet. I don't think the mother's hair crossing in front of the baby's closed eye helps the scene. Also the lighting is a bit flat, especially if you are using a strobe, and the overall shot is soft considering you are using the 50 1.4. The overall set up and idea is very good.

I think you'll find processing in Raw has it's benefits as you get used to it, much more latitude than jpeg. This shot seems to have a colour cast to it. One way to set the colours better, is to go into Levels, set the white point with the dropper tool and then set the black point with the dropper tool. You can also set a gray point, but usually white and black does the trick. Try and do your sharpening only after you have resized the picture for web. Good luck, Art.

I'm not sure either but it sure looks nice. I haven't had any luck here with hawks. The sharpness and colours look great and it looks like you were fairly close too.
