Hi Gayle,

great to hear from you again. Long time, no see :)

My two (!) girls are 4 and 6 now and I spent most of my spare time with them - they grow old too fast and you have to enjoy the precious until they are typical teenager :-) And how about you?

I hope to see some folks from the past here, too. Let's wait and see. =)

Best, Thilo

Hi Andre,

I really love the geometry part here, the format of the picture and the DOF work. Timeless classic.

Take care, Thilo

Hi Andre,

Oh boy, it was worth the posting just to see you again. :-)

The D700 is a fine piece of hardware, and the ISO performance is just awesome compared to my "old" D200. The difference is three to four times in quality. Even ISO 2500 is acceptable.

And yes, it took me some shots here as I had to hold the cam with one arm. =)

Take care my friend,
Thilo

Hi Ray,

a very fine portrait here. The near BW fits perfectly. My only idea to change things is format. Square is not very helpful here IMHO. a more widescreen format with the face off-centered would be my little wish.

Take care,
Thilo

Hey Ray,

one of the pics that are a great catch and that show that it's good to always have a cam with you. Not sure about the HDR style treatment here - by chance or was that intended?

Hey Ray,

I really like the perspective here, and you're definitely right with the title. :)

If I had one wish here: More forward with the cam, focus point on the shoes in the front to get a little bit DOF here and maybe even more tilted. Okay, that's three wishes. Your image is great and unusual anyway.

Hi Ray,

you're way too nice to me. =)
Thanks for your thoughtful reply. In fact, a lot of people here move around, some of them are at Facebook now which is nice because I find a lot of old friends there.

Usefilm hasn't changed since I stopped my regular postings. The site is slow, and the problems stay the same. I will check some of your pictures, rest assured.

Take care,
Thilo

Hi Andre,

I really like this one from you rotten car portfolio =)

DOF and composing is wisely chosen. Like the desaturated look.

Maybe the indifferent format (not really rectangle, not really square) reduces the impact a tad.

Take care, Thilo

danke für den großartigen Kommentar. Ja, ich muss hier auch wieder öfter den Anker werfen, und wenn es nur ist, um ein paar schlaue Comments loszuwerden ;-)

thanks a lot for the valuable feedback. I'm busy as well but you always have some minutes that you spend for things that are worth to do =)

Hey Arwa,

this is so great to hear from you. When I think about Usefilm, you play an important part. So your absence here is a good indicator for my relationship to UF =)

I really hope that you got more time in the future one day to work on photo things. You have such a great eye. Hope you and your family are well. My best wishes for all of you.

Hugs, Thilo
