yea, i do not know a lot about this tipe of lens i got it because of it's size. it is only a little bit longer than my 18-55. shooting at night is out of the question but it is a bit more incunpicas than my 100-500 people do not asosat a lens that short with being a large focal lanth witch is an advantage.

this is not film the Pentax K100D is a digital camera lol i think i shot F8 ASA 8oo 1500-2000 i a aagree about the back ground but then i i was on the other side of the field i would be shooting right into the sun so i can live with the wall in the back lol the girl teems i get more running and passing the boys there is more jumping ect.... but the BEST soccer games to shoot in the summer are the spansh legs thows are some GOOD games lol

lol well film would be nice but not as cost eftive as digital and not as fast when i have get photos up fast film would not cut it
not evin throws fast lens would have helped it was like this lighting was like a dark room that has a small light leek under the door you have to cover up with a tale

i agree with you lol this photo is a bit out of context it is part of a photo essay i am folling city councle members around during a councle meting it is not all that exiting lol they really do not do a hole lot and i need photos they bacicly walk in the building get there paper work talk for a couple of minuets then sit up fount for 2 howers or so nothing that condusive to grate photo momits lol this photo is just to show her looking over her paper work gritting ready for the mitting i chose it becuse it was one of the more interesting photos and help tell the story i was trying to get a cross if i was shooting as an "art" photographer i could have posed some good photos BUT i was there as a photoj and i have to shoot "as is"

well it is out of context a bit. it is part of a photo story that i published on my on line news paper about an car accident that is why i put the link up so people could go and see how it is used. yep VERY low light but over all i can put up with it because it shows what i wonted

the ?? is is it necessary for the story telling i think yes because it shows his rescuer trinng to help as far as the legal/privacy issues there is not anny i was standing on a public side walk and he was in plan sight any one walking or driving buy could have seen him and the photo is unmnplated (only crouped which is conciterd ok for news photos) in PS so it dues not vilite any ethical standers and tells the story as it happened i like showing rescue personally or good smartans helping people and this photo dues that as for it being in "good" taste that is up to the people that look at it to decied i meen is it any worse than the photos of wheman tied up covered in blood that are conciterd "art" (i have nothing agents this tip of photography and i think it has it place just not my thing)

very good comment when i am shooting this stuff i not looking for an emotion response i just there to document what happened sort of like a human tape recorder but with a camera i have close ups of people that where ingerd or killed but i did it only as a record of the rescue pesnal working i glad you seen this in my photos it is exactly what i am trying to do

no it was the HS finals it was hard to get these tipe of shots we where not allowed to use flash i for got witch lens i aculy used i put the 70-300 F5.6 but i used a 1970 80mm F2.8 MF for a lot of the photos i call it "the tank" lol it was only the 3rd time i had ever photoed a basket ball game i will be putting more up later

thank you i like Weegee's work a lot and i try to shoot a long that line of things he shot a lot of other things when he was shooting a fire or some thing ie the fire fighters and cops i like the idea and hope to pull it off in some of my work

i think we got lucky after the ran stop it has been a nice day nothing mager so far and no one has died i do not think a lot of back roads closed and trees and power wires down

well it is not really a touch lol at night i try not to use a flash so my K100D has ASA 3200 so the grain is from that i just have to work with it and see if i can get some thing that works as they say do not work against the gran lol not always possible but some times i can do it
