thanks tom,, nice picts ya got up.. this is a seed ball(similiar to dandelion) approx 3 cm across. I took it with a 24-70, so it's about a 1:3 ratio. It is very light and airy but a add bit of contrast, darken and here you are--I like it also--ron s.

thanks for your response. Actually the fog was so thick that I had to use several layers and contrast plug-in to get it to where it is, and get some contrast. I, of course, blurred the edges slightly to cause some vignetting.
My attempt was not to render a completely realistic landscape but to take an everyday scene and make it as minimalist as possible. we have very little fog normally so this has been a boon to play with. I actually wanted to make it more minimalist but I started losing tops of trees and it became to abstract in my eyes.
I happen to like minimal photographs and to try and photograph using the least amount of subject as possible, when I can, that will instill the mode or story.
Hope that answers your question--ron s.

Fabio, thanks a bunch. I must say after looking at your abstract gallery, and how great it is, it reminded me that I need to work my way back and to do more of that myself. Have let it slide lately---thanks ron s.

Outstanding image in both abstract and macro photography. I might have been interested to see what would have happened by raising the brightness and/or contrast to lose some of the shadows in the folds of the petals, leaving the purple fringes more to their own devices.
Nothing wrong with the frame treatment, I'm just not a big fan, in this case though it is a bit distracting(IMHO) :)---very nice--ron s.
