Stopped doing it for fun a long time ago!
Just finished a Masters in New Media (thats the sort of course you need to do, now that photography is dead :), which has taken up the last three years and now I create 'interactive' and multi media content for web.
I explain that to friends as, the annoying stuff that slows down your web surfing experience :)
Check the exciting banners on my work website www.csiro.au
Just about to exhibit my China images next week. Hopefully someone will appreciate my 'art' and buy the bl##dy things.

This is a fantastic shot.
Great crop that tells a huge story.
Nice DOF etc :)
Sounds like a fairly confronting trip.
How did you fare with the wrestling :)

Much more interesting than millipedes.
Nice angle, light and comp.

Colour is absolutely amazing.
All you need is a flight of war birds to really make the shot ;)

Hi Derek
Would you believe its just a common garden millipede, and not an alien life form :)
Attached is the full shot of the beast.

Hi Daniel
Thanks, its an amazing lens.
Only stops down to f16, so that’s as much DOF as I'll ever get for that magnification.
Not easy to shoot when the insect is barrelling along a leaf at high speed, and won’t stop to pose either!
:)

I am definitely drawn to this image.
Haunting and powerful despite the humorous back story.
The eyes just pierce your soul!
An image that makes you think.
Excellent.

Lots of symbolism I'm thinking.

Stunning portfolio full of the most brilliant and subtle observations.
Aesthetically and technically way too good for someone so young
Wish I could automatically give you 7 out of 7 for the lot.

Yeah exactly.
Achewally I've seen this one before and it reminds me of old tintype photos from the 1880s.
LIke the effect and the story.

Hmmm needs a good clean up (the bike chain that is)
Nice abstract image Deniz
Good DOF but could be even shallower so the bike stands out even more.

Hi Taran
Wasnt that hard to shoot as the dragonfly was quite cold and just sat for some time while I snapped away with studio flash!
As for film, this was probably one of the last film shoots I did.
Have been shooting with an EOS 1Ds and 5d for quite a while now.
I'm over film
Thanks for your fantastic comments.
Cheers

Yeah like the angle, colour patch etc but again the face could be a teeny, weeny bit sharper or less blurred with a 1/30 or a 1/60 and slight panning.
