I personally can't think of a better excuse to get a new lens. Delightfully, beautiful grandchildren! Great present for their folks too (this one is definitely deserving of a spot on the wall). The colors and the lighting are superb! I love their hair color! Congrats on DOD.

I would definitely agree that the lighting is too dark. Maybe, I would have cropped the picture a little more off the left-hand side. Lovely photo though.
