Hi Patrick,

I was sure you were going to recognize the area, but I wasn't expecting you to guess which exact point it is.
You must know every centimetre of that beach!
Glad you like the image, I think I'll get back there to shoot more pictures

Take care,

Anna

Hi John, thank you very much for your nice comment.
The cloud is made with incense smoke. The photograph is part of a series all done with that, but I am not so sure this image fits well enough with the previous ones. Maybe I won't keep it...

Hi Ian,
Thanks so much for the incredible number of comments you put. All very imaginative and inspiring.
I like the way you work creatively with your camera and also the way you often manipulate the images.

This photo is a fantastic example, powerful and dreamy.
I wish you all the best,
Anna

Hi Bob,
thanks a lot for your very interesting comment.
I think you are right. The solution can be worse than the problem, it happens so often!

Thanks a lot Shubhadip for your very professional comment!
I shot that image quite long time ago and I kept it in a drawer because of that spots. Then I reconsidered it and after trying a cropped square version I found out that I liked it more in the original version.
Now I see a reason for the blue spots, but perhaps I've been a bit self-indulgent, so its very good to have your feedback and hopefully some other members opinion as well.
Cheers,
Anna

Eh si, mi ricordo Napoleon! Ne hai fatta di strada! Sono davvero entusiasta del tuo portfolio, hai trovato un tuo stile molto originale. Ci drovemmo fare una bella chiaccherata e spero di vedere anche delle stampe.

A presto,

Anna

Hi Patrick,
I wasn't sure about uploading this image because it's style is quite different from the rest of the series (more complicate fore sure). Then the photograph asked to be published again and again and at the end convinced me.

you really understood my intention. There are other windows similar to those two, I'll try to build a series.

Patrick, questa foto e' bellissima e forte!
Just few days ago I was told about what happened in Canada and US when in 2003 there was a total blackout for more than a day. People deviated from their routine, couldn't work, couldn't watch TV. Eventually all became like a big party in the streets and in the gardens, with all the people of the neighborhood meeting each other and communicating for the first time. The person that told me the story said he had the best time in his life.

Thanks a lot Mahassa for your nice comments!
All the images of the "Incense" series are obtained photographing incense smoke. Sometimes I get a bit intoxicated, but it's great fun!

Take care,

Anna

Thanks a lot Mirek,
when I took that picture I was more looking for emptiness rather then liveness.
Anyway it would be interesting to see the different result with some kids playing there.
If you have time please have a look to the rest of the series "Carbonia". It would be nice to have your feedback.
Cheers,
Anna

You are right, the amphitheatre was built recently, but it strangely matches very well with the rest of the architecture.
Good eye!

Hi Patrick,
you watched very deep in these photograph and understood a lot of things.
Carbonia is a bit a strange town, built quickly because of the will of Mussolini.
People came from everywhere. It is hard to fill a sense of community.
The trace of the history you can find don't really belong to the ancestor of the people leaving there, so it's a bit like an old set of a movie.
It was interesting seeing it for the first time with the eyes of a photographer. It was like discovering it as a foreign city.
I felt a sense of separation and curiosity at the same time.

Hi George,
it a saturated B&W. I've scanned the B&W film and added a bit of warm tones with Photoshop.

Cheers,
