Yeah, I can't say that as a red blooded Aussie I haven't had longer looks on the odd, and possibly even moments.. I didn't even see the humour category, but that fits. I think I took the image a little personally for the old guy in it. I can see what you were trying to achieve, and you did it quite well!!

This is an interesting shot, I love the texture that the reflections give! If you can imagine, like on all good sci fi shows something hitting the buildings that cause its very fabric to ripple, that would be close to it. I love that!!

You know Rog, I think this was at Majura, as Stromlo was still burnt out, it was the 24 hour in 2005, and this was at the bottom of the switchbacks down near the camp site.

That might be too harsh a comment. I wonder maybe if he is remembering his own youth, a memory, or just simply admiring the youth and beauty of the girls without those sorts of thoughts. Would you let them go past without having a look.. think about the pictures taken, I wonder also then if you are asking who is the predator, photographer or old man in the image? Still a very thought provoking series of images with that title.

Moon shot that is well lit(ha ha), sorry well exposed, and that aura that if you are not careful some hairy mystical creature with large fangs and sharp claws and a penchant for blood is about to not care why you have camera, but are tasty anyway. Great exposure and mood.. sorry for my imagination.. it runs away with me on good moon shots.

Yes, they tend to be little mistrusting, unless you have several bags of bread under your arm.. now they say that you shouldn't feed the wildlife but I think, the same for kids, that bribery works wonders.. I have some eagle shots coming that bribery worked great with.. I have found that the longer lenses work well, sometimes you have to sacrifice ISO in order to get what you want, otherwise the sharpness decreases with camera shake (if you shoot at 300mm, then you need to set shutter to 1/300 or faster (unless on tripod), but if you can find a well lit situation, then patience has its rewards, as you can see here!!

saw the title and laughed, Great idea.. having a look at that, and from a miniatures perspective, if you coloured them green you would have a miniature forest.. different colour greens and voila! little green trees. You have given me yet another idea! thankyou!

Did you try again with the Manfrotto? It looks really sharp from where I am looking, but then we are always critical of our own shots.. that is an amazing idea, I am going to steal away and try it. Cheers!

yes, I was going to say that the cat's colours transitioned beautifully with the building, but that was the inspiration! well positioned and great tones!

Awesome, the ability to see the picture within a picture, or narrowing one down such as this is great, one of those breaking the rules things!! Now that I can recognise the elements, the sky gives such an interesting "iris" to it. Beautifully done. Have you tried different days and times of days?

And if you hadn't taken this photo, one, your daughter wouldn't have this remarkable shot for an outward perspective of her memory, and two, the constructive comments wouldn't have been made and therefore the inspiration for the 2nd attempt never done.. THat is why I like this site and why I like the constructive ideas that pop out from time to time!

Wow, you say you have not mastered landscape, yet this night/land/citscape is pretty damn good!! I am curious to know how long you exposed this, as that moon has moved ever so slightly, yet the Opera House is still in good focus..

Beautifully done Nicole, I have had trouble with something like that, often overexposing the leaves to get the flower right, you have gotten it right!! Great shot!

no, these were taken in Western Australia, Kalgoorlie actually, and they are another type of parrot, but I cannot remember which.. I have a series of these guys that seemed to be making out.. I will try to find them, but I think they are back in Oz.. I am not there at the moment..

Hi Cathy, I am trying to remember, but I think i was near Macquaries chair for that one.. in the Royal Botannical Gardens again... it is a favoured place for my photos as you can tell. Did you have fun wandering around the city?

That is one of the most eye catching shots I have seen, even though I think photography was only a small part in this production, it is beautifully done, and the title is apt. Fire and your production of heat is always hungry!! top work!

moody, nice capture of this scene, the bending stalks give the windy feel, and the storm clouds the impending danger, nice contrasts in colours!!

that is definitely a different take on panoramic photos! The structure is great, the curvature makes the realism and drama of it really come out, and it looks like a series of postcards that you could buy and put together, rules well broken and a fantastic artistic take on panorama's!

An original and well produced piece.. sometimes others mistakes can allow us to profit, it is a shame about the other photos destroyed though. Awesome work!

A great motion capture Mervo, and the post production work looks great. What was the original like? I always like to see the before and afters, especially with something like this. It looks like the floor has been texturized, so your panning work is great, well done!

A case of seeing double, and the detail is definitely in the small (fine) print... very creative and unique, I wonder how you happened to come up with this approach, it is remarkable.
