It matters, I would think, yet, I like this position for this particular picture. I've played with other placements (took a bunch of pictures like this one), but I liked the position of the lightbulb here. But I'm not sure though ...

I thought about b/w for the pict, but the trees have a slight greenish tone to them (as they looked in real life), and the sky really was blue like that, and I like a blue/grey colour scheme (with very slight hints of warmer colours). It is a matter of personal taste though.

Hi, Thomas, you're right - the same scene can look so different at different times of the day, or in different seasons. I think it's fun to take the same picture over and over at different times. This one is "postcard striking", very beautiful.

Waldemar, this picture made me smile! I had never thought of the moon as a fish caught in a net. The colour of the sky is fantastic.

It's getting warmer here in BC, and most of our snow is gone - the ski slopes are green right now. I love your picture, it looks so inviting. The sky is beautiful. It's difficult to shoot snow/sky, and you got the exposure just right here IMO.

Lovely shot, I love how flowers and leaves look when you shoot them against the light - you can see all the little hairs outlined, and the colours take on a special sheen. Was this taken in the evening?
