Wow, great expression and terrific light and tones...maybe a closer crop to really pump up the impact?

I really like how natural this is...great idea! I might just crop the top a bit to keep the attention on the couple.

Thank you for the comments. This image is not very photoshopped actually. Just converted to black and white, a little gaussian blur, and a vignette. I didn't even retouch out the second catch light...yet!

Really like this simple and balanced composition....even the overcast light makes it work! Well seen and captured.

angle and expression are nice but the light is very harsh on her pretty face. Highlights are also lost which doesn't add here.

OMG Melanie, I haven't been on UF for a while so I popped in and see THIS? It is FABULOUS!!! I love everything about this!! Beautiful light, amazing expression and what makes this magic for me is the pose with how his body is curved and his arm placement. This deserves a BIG award...gave me chills, seriously amazing!! Although the boo boo on his arm is reality I would probably clone it out. this should be huge on your walls!!!

thanks...this is straight from the camera with no processing at all except for resize and border. Getting used to the new camera! Pretty happy with it so far. What a great little guy he was to photograph!

excellent image although you may think about fine tuning the burning technique as it seems quite obvious especially around the people. Great image with great drama!

Hi thanks for the comments. I used a big soft box camera left, reflector camera right but it is mainly helping to light the background to separate him. Also I have a soft box hair light set I think a half stop lower than the main, again, to help separate him a bit from the similar background.

nice perspective but it is a little on the small size to see! also a little more contrast would improve.

FABULOUS!! I'm still trying to figure out how you managed this end result with an 18 second exposure. I assume your camera was mounted on a tripod. I would expect with a train moving that fast, all I would achieve with the shutter open for 18 seconds would be nothing but overall blur and fuzz! So well done!!

Nicely done! Light and pose are very pleasing but I might consider lightening her face just a little to add a little extra punch.

Lovely artwork. Nice mood and the border really suits it as well. I'm curious to know if this is a composite image?

Nice job on lighting and posing. She just seems cropped a little too tightly. Might be nice to see her feet.
