Hi Kes,
Thanks for your comment.
It's amazing how close you can get to the eagles in Homer.
The focal lenght in this shot was 90mm.
You can check it out under properties.
Best.

Gary, Thanks for your comments.
I got my shots at the Kachemak Bay in Homer, Ak.
This is probably the best spot in the world to photograph Bald Eagles.

Best.

Dear Jen,
Thank you very much for your comment.
As a matter of fact, I am going to try to sell some of my images.
In that way I can cover some travel and equipment expenses.
Thanks again.

Thanks Kerry,
There are so many eagles in Homer that the challenge is to select only one individual at the time.
I have to delete lots of pics, but I got many keepers.

Best.

Thanks Dave,
I am glad Ben Franklin did not have his way.
Otherwise they probably would not have been so aggressive protecting the bald eagle from the DDT era.

Best.

I appreciate your comment.
I did not use flash for this shot.

Hi Rajib,
Try AV mode and focus on the subject.
If you use manual mode you have to choose exposure according to the background, at least that's what I understand, but not in AV.
Please, send me a fax number, so I can send you the copies about the quick mask program.
BTW, do you like this shot ?
I feel very proud of it.

Best.

Hola David, Muchas gracias por tu comentario.
En el sitio donde tome estas fotografias, Homer Alaska, tuve mucha suerte con el clima y las aguilas colaboraron de manera espectacular.
Saludos.

Awesome shot Ken,
Everything about this image is excellent.
Thanks to Steve and Marybee Kaufman, I am having a once in a life time experience, phtographing the magnificent eagles here at Homer, AK.

Awesome shot Joe,
Glad that you are back and posting your shots from Texas.
This is one of the best (if not the best) Blue-winged Teals that I have ever seen.
Excellent post, composition, background and amazing sharpness.
BTW.
I am leaving tomorrow to Alaska, Homer to shot Bald Eagles.
Very soon I will be sharing those pics with you and UF buddies.

Kind Regards.

Hi Bill
Thanks for your comment.
I am getting ready for what you call "one of those best momments in photography".
A week from now I'll be in Homer Alaska shoting the majestic bald eagles.
During this trip I am going to visit the Famous National Geographic photographer, Steve Kaufman.
So far the weather looks cloudy and lots of snow and rain, but if I have at least a couple of hours of light, I will be more than happy.
Soon I will share the eagle pictures with you and UF friends.
Wish me luck.
Best.
